it's been awhile!

wow. it's been so long since i last wrote on this blog.. for some time i thought something was terribly wrong with either my computer or the internet connection i have here in beijing kaya i couldn't open my blogger. anyway, i still can't open my own blogspot but i can continue posting though haha!

i wonder how everyone else back home is? to tell you the truth i am already homesick, but then i still think that it'll be such a waste of money if i go back home just for a couple of weeks and then fly back here for the next term. i'm not really the only one.. so anyway, there's just 10 more days before my final exams start and PLEASE GOD, help me, i want to get really good grades!!

how's my study going? at first i was really proud of myself, yknow being the only fil-chi and asian in class i had the advantage of having studied the correct pronunciation and accent of chinese but then it only lasted until the week before midterms. turns out, the americans are terribly good! wow. i can't believe it. and the british guy is amazing! his vocabulary's far better than mine (although i have to admit my vocab's almost zilch thanks to ica of course. hahaha)

anyway, i've been lagging behind almost all the others in class because after midterms i just felt so festive yknow.. holiday season!! a season that they don't celebrate in china! and of course i must say, christmas in manila is definitely incomparable to christmas in other countries. although they still eat and eat and eat like the filipinos, they don't have the warm feeling of christmas -- as in the faith or religion whatever you want to call it. sa kanila, the warm feeling is because of either too much food and drinking, or some activity they do under the sheets to keep each other warm. hahaha! funny but true!

i've seen a lot of korean movies lately and i really want to go to korea. haha! anyone here up for it? but of course, i'd have to save up for that first.. and how do i start saving? work!! look for work that pays well! but it's soo freaking me out already! (looking for work) but i don't feel hopeless. i just think that maybe i'm searching in the wrong places. good luck to all of us, im sure most of us are jobhunters now haha!

have you seen the movie the prince and me? julia stiles flick? the cute prince there, luke mably, remember? darn cute!!!!!! and the accent.... sigh... i wanted to post pictures here but downloading this other program for uploading pics with this blog takes forever. so just look him up over the net if you don't understand what i mean by 'darn cute!' hahaha
